And we believed!

On Saturday mornings I have classes, two to be more specific, and between them I have a break that I spend in a very charming coffee shop! I like to say that it’s my moment; I also think sometimes that I didn’t leave these classes just to have the excuse of having this pleasure, because if I were at home I wouldn’t wake up early in the morning to go to a coffee shop alone.
I usually arrive in the place and ask a green juice that consists in lemon, kale and watercress, great to cure my hangovers when I insist in going out on Friday nights even knowing that I have classes the next day. I also ask a colorful salad to clean the organism, and a desert 'cus I am not on a diet!
They have some magazines there, sometimes I surf the net… other times I like reading.
I read a great article other day, I myself like very much the Danusa Leão chronics, and I want to share especially with my friends who live this situation.
There were so many lies they told us and one of those lies is that we could perfectly do the housekeeping, be a mother, a wife, a lover, go to yoga and have a brilliant professional career at the same time.
How can a woman takes care of their children, feed them, go to work, back, make dinner, organize the house and after all this be sexy to discuss politics if she didn’t have time to have her nails done?
But the humanity is there, trying to convince them and their husbands that a fish with herbs in the oven with some potatoes cooked al dente accompanied by white wine is really easy to do and the marriage will continue with the touch of a French movie… Bullshit!
“They” say that work enriches people; this even can be true, besides it ages and dries the skin too!
It is no use complaining! A glamorous woman ready to do all the charming’s that let the men crazy needs two things: time and money! And this is to me an antagonistic thing, when you have time you don’t have money and vice versa. Except if you won the lottery!
I heard an expression once; you are HMC – High Maintenance Cost woman!. All women are HMC, we need to go to the hairdresser, buy clothes, shoes, go to the gym, and feel powerful… irresistible! And all these things have a cost!
I don’t have kids, and I see that trying to keep all these demands a lot! I used to be more worried before, now I am achieving a balance. I feel happy to discover that I don’t need to be a super hero before getting marriage, to slow down, be satisfied with less… because you must agree that is difficult to be a real woman, impossible I would say!

Being contradictory!

Someone told me once that I was contradictory. And I felt terrible, 'cus I don't like this kind of people.
Contradictory is either of two propositions related in such a way that it is impossible for both to be true or both to be false, inconsistent, incompatible. You know... sometimes people say things to us without imagine how we are going to process the information. I like to analyze!
OK... I start to think about this and for my surprise I discover that I am a contradictory person in some aspects and I didn't think of it in a negative way.
Let me explain... I consider myself a mature person, about my 30's that knows how to deal with a sort of situations much better than when I was 20's. A professional that is confident about the quality of her work, that knows herself, what she wants, what she likes... She knows as well that if she drinks too much in a party she'll almost die of hangover in the next day (and she insists in doing it), fully aware! She should know that men like Don Juan don't worth a penny, and she can't trust in them... doesn't get involved, but she is a magnet for such men! Anyway on the other hand she consider herself such young, that laugh for anything, sometimes even innocent that wants to keep this virtue... treats everybody pretty well! Made the ad of a good girl...lets continue... She has many women inside her too, like GNT lol she can perfectly be really sociable one day and pretty introspective in the other, she can go to a party and arrive home in the morning without any remorse, dance, drink, have fun, kiss, be crazy (I'm exaggerating to get more emphasis) and thereafter put on her normal face, that is almost like a geek, wearing glasses to go to work! Is this being contradictory? If so I prefer to be like this, 'cus people are complex. I think this is her personality! That means the particular combination of emotional, attitudinal, and behavioral response patterns of an individual. As I started this post discussing about maturity, I will end saying that my early days, my previous experiences makes me as I am today, and despite anything I always have a positive attitude!
I conclude that contradictory or not this is who I am!

First release...

The idea of create a blog came to my mind a long time ago. But as usual I had never had time to take this idea of my head and put on the paper.
I always listen from my friends and colleagues that my life is a soap opera, my students adore listening my stories of failed love affairs, work experiences and so on… all this inspired me. Since a student of mine (I’m an English teacher or I try hard to be one) told me once by facebook that my day should have 26 hours, to have more time to live, and to correct her extra exercises, I thought I need to start!
The truth is: if I continue waiting to have time to do what I want to, I won’t do it.
So… as I’m facing a changing times, I’d decided to do everything I want to! And especially 'cus I realized that I could write in English.
I almost forget that the blog is also dedicated to my sister Fernanda. I want her to know what is happening in my life when she is in Italy.
Yes, my life is changing and I love it. Changing jobs, changing behave, changing beliefs, changing love affair (once again).
DETACHMENT is my word now! And it means: an inner state of calmness and being uninvolved on the emotional and mental planes.
I have being working 12 hours a day for more than 2 long years, teaching English is fantastic, I have my students, and I really enjoy living with them. Teenagers are so interesting! And as I think I have the peter pan's complex (I don’t know if this is only a male ill) but I do have, furthermore I listened in a course about antropology that some authors are considering the teenagers from 10 to 27 years old, once the moviment of the society has changed, people are leaving theirs parents house later. See... I just got out the youth, but this is an issue for another post!  So... I was saying that I have much fun with my students! It is being a great experience. Although I had given up of having my first million and I couldn't get it by teaching English anyway... Just kidding, I never had this pretension. I'm seeking to be less self demanding.
I want to include some kind of sport in my life, other interests like studying music, philosophy, art… write a blog! I want to bring to my classes some of my interests and produce workshops! I don’t need 26 hours a day, what I need is fresh air!
I’m doing things LIGHT. It opened my sunshine days!
